The Institute of Management and Information Technology (IMIT), formerly known as College of Accountancy and Management Studies (CAMS), Cuttack was founded way back in 1962. It is a unique prestigious institution of the Government of Odisha, and has positioned itself as a premier institute offering various professional and technical courses that groom the students to cater to the expectations of modern industry.
The college offers Post Graduate and Research programmes in computer science and Business Administration. The College campus is located at Gourav Palace, Matha Sahi, Tulsipur, Cuttack, on the bank of the river Mahanadi. Being twin to the state capital, Bhubaneswar, the Cyber heart of Odisha, it enjoys many advantages. Its close proximity to many large scale industries, central and state public sector undertaking and technical institutions has provided opportunities to its students for project work, practical training and research. While strengthening human resource development efforts in the country, this college lays greater emphasis on qualitative sense of education and not merely quantitative one.
The Computer Science & Engineering Department at the Institute of Management and Information Technology (IMIT) Cuttack, has been at the forefront of imparting quality education in computer applications since our establishment in 1997. With a rich legacy of innovation, academic excellence, and industry relevance, the Computer Science & Engineering department at IMIT Cuttack is committed to shaping the future leaders and innovators in the field of Data Science. Currently, it provides the courses like Master in Computer Application (MCA), M. Tech. in CSE, M. Tech. in CSE (Data Science Specialization) and Ph. D. in Computer Science affiliated by Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela.
The Internet of things (IoT), Data Science, Robotics, Cloud Computing, etc., with Artificial Intelligence are the system of interconnected computing devices, objects such as machine, animals or people with Big Data and Intelligence are the ability to handle and communicate the data over a network for different real-time activities in this current era. Computing is being transformed to a model consisting of services that are commoditized and delivered in a manner similar to utilities. It leads to generates huge numbers of structure and unstructured data. Therefore, Enterprise and Big-Data applications need tools and platforms for their rapid construction and deployment on Clouds on-demand meeting user QoS requirements at lower price. This also helps in automation of the system in industry through Science and Technology and Engineering like; Instrumentation, IT, Mechatronic, Telecommunication, Electrical, among few others. In this regard, the Conference on Cutting-edge Technology in Recent Trend- (ICCTCCI-2025) focuses on the application of smart technology and materials for smarter industrial production. The ICCTCCI-2025 will provide common platform for presentation of original research findings, exchange of ideas and dissemination of innovative, practical development experiences in different aspects and fields of industry. It also focuses with the objective of bringing together academicians, scientists, researchers from industry, research scholars, and students working in different industrial domains and applied applications.
